He received his BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida and his MS and PhD in Engineering Mechanics, also from the University of Florida. Dr. McDaniel has twenty-four years of experience related to research and analysis in mechanical and aerospace engineering and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Florida. His research interests include experimental and computational fluid mechanics and sensors and robotics. At FIU, his responsibilities have included directing and executing research related to mechanical and aerospace applications for the federal government and the private sector.
