Amer Awwad, Ph.D., P.E. is a Senior Research Scientist at the Applied Research Center (ARC) at Florida International University. He has over 30 years of experience in applied research and development. His expertise includes heat transfer, heating ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), fluid flow, and groundwater remediation. Amer leads ARC\u2019s engineering services group where he oversees the design of research apparatus to meet the needs of externally funded research projects from major federal, state and private clients. He holds a Ph.D. in civil Engineering, a M.S. in environmental engineering and a B.S. in mechanical engineering, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida, is multilingual, and has numerous peer reviewed journal publications and conference presentations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
