Her talk covered various aspects of low-cost constructed wetlands, which is an\u00a0environmentally sound and affordable alternative to conventional wastewater treatment technologies. This lecture provided information that will assist a team of\u00a0FIU students\u00a0from multiple disciplines in co-producing a large-scale engineered wetland (including\u00a0design, research and assessment)\u00a0to optimize the\u00a0resilient and sustainable performance for positive energy generation, water supply, and water and waste management in the face of climate change in Miami Beach.
